Stephanie The tagline on netflix.com was short and simple – if you like “About Schmidt” you will like “Sideways” as well. Well, I do like “About Schmidt”, so I have decided to take a shot and watch “Sideways” What has surprised me the most is that “Sideways” (as well as “About Schmidt”) registered on comedy isle. Per my European mentality it definitely belongs to what we used to call back in old country melodrama. Yes, of course there are some elements of comedy in it, but mostly this is about gloomy part of our life, what is indeed called melodrama. I think it is a very good movie. I think a very good work of Paul Giamatti and Virginia Madsen. It is certainly deserved your shot. Lynda Wise |
